Some kittens were more tolerant than others. Allyson, my niece, is also pictured. See the resemblance? The orange kitten was definitely the most popular, and endured all sorts of torture unintentionally inflicted by the toddlers. Taylor eventually learned how to properly carry a kitten, but started out many times carrying her by the head. Mama cat was probably the most tame, and even tolerated being carried around by Taylor, who is almost the same length as she is.
It is fun having cousins close in age. Allyson is four days older than Taylor, but with Taylor's advantage in height and weight he often would target her when he was grumpy. Poor Allyson.... I asked the kids to give each other a kiss. Allyson definitely wasn't shy, and Taylor seemed flattered!
I let Syvanah play with the camera a bit and look like she has an eye for the abstract. Here is a few of what she took:
We can't visit Grandma and Grandpa's house without visiting Cody. Have you ever seen an uglier horse. The kids don't care, a horse is a horse even if he is on his last leg.
We took one of the days to visit the hot springs swimming pool in Hagerman, ID and visit their Fossil horse museum and Hagerman pool. That was a particularly exciting day, as it was the first day Grandma Sorensen rode on the back of Grandpa Sorensen's motorcycle. A sight we thought we would never see. We will be missing the extended Sorensen reunion this year, which is why we did a separate trip to Idaho to make sure the kids were able to see their grandparents.
Syvanah was able to hold her newest cousin on this side of the family. Little Mason was born in April. Syvanah is even more excited for her new sibling, expected arrival date: October!
