Syvanah's 3rd Birthday Party

We had Syvanah's 3rd birthday party in August. Her birthday landed on a Thursday this year, so we celebrated it on a Saturday. Syvanah's cousins, Ethan and Jacob, my sister, Kylene, and my mom came out to celebrate.
I love how, in this picture, Syvanah is showing everyone what she got and also how the kids, especially Ethan Long, wanted front row seating. This seems to be a hard age for kids to understand the concept of "giving" a present, as they all seemed to want them! It was nice to have a day that was all about Syvanah and to celebrate her three years. We had pizza, cake and sand dollar cookies.
In this picture you can find, Ethan Heywood and Zack (I love how inseperable these two are), Jacob in the highchair, Jackson, Joseph and Rosie at the children's table, and Aleah seated at the table with Zack, Ethan, and Syvanah.
I tried to do a spin for a Hawaiian theme. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves as we painted butterflies that were eventually intended to be used for pin the butterfly on the flower, but we ran out of time.
In this picture Autumn has the paint on her nose, Jackson is playing with the balloon, and Joseph, Aleah, and Ethan Long are painting their butterflies. The kids also enjoyed our cheap version of a pool, so much, it was hard to get them to come back inside.
In these pictures are the children mentioned before, except Mark Randall. He seems to have escaped the eye of my camera, but he was also in attendance. Considering how small our house is, I think it turned out pretty well. People were patient and for the most part we kept off each others toes. Most importantly, Syvanah seemed really pleased to finally have her turn for a birthday. Thanks to everyone that attended and for the sweet gifts.
