Bountiful's Maiden Voyage

Last weekend our family made a trip out to California to take "Bountiful" on her maiden voyage. It was beautiful weather and we made fun family memories. Bountiful did exactly what she was designed to do and did it safely. We made a trip to Catalina island where we had planned to dock that evening, however, a forecast of winds made us change our minds and turn around and go back home. It was so fun as we enjoyed the oceanic joys of this earth. Here are a few pictures from the Bay, including the lighthouse, houses with ocean front property, and giant cruise ships.



We saw all sorts of wild life, including pelican, sea lions and, my favorite, dolphin. The dolphin were so entertaining as they would swim along side the front of the boat. They were so close, almost within arms reach (or maybe a few arms). I could see beautiful patterns on there faces, which indicated to me that they were not the traditional bottlenose dolphin like Flipper. I'm not sure what type they were, but they were great to see. The ocean was beautiful and it was amazing to see the change in colors of the water as we traveled across the ocean.




Here is Dad giving lessons to Spencer and Tyson. Alyse and Taylor are pictured below, having a good time. Bountiful was able to house Alyse, Spencer, Mom, Dad, Tyson, Taylor, Syvanah, and myself comfortably, probably no more than that though. Syvanah got quit sea sick, but did okay, after we doped her up on Dramamine. Taylor has gotten his sea legs early on, because he did very well the entire trip and never seemed bothered by the swells. The rest of us were getting thrown about, but that was the joy of boating on the ocean. The trip ended all too soon, but it was enough to get my mind off of nursing school, which is kicking my rear. I hope it will not be too long before we go back!
